Alvin Arthur 'AL' Bluhm passed away at home on Tuesday, September 13, 2016.
Al was born in Janesville, WI, a son of Norma Jean Joiner Bluhm of Rockford, IL and the late Edward M. Bluhm.
Surviving are his partner of 10 years, Susan Buchanan; one sister, Patty Michalsen and her husband Jim of Rockford, IL; a brother, Melvin Bluhm and his wife Cindy of Arizona; and many extended family and friends. Especially dear to Al were his three horses, Trader, Polar and Atti; beloved canine companion, Max; and two goats, Sam and Pete.
Al was a career electrician, but a forever horseman. He was also firearms enthusiast, supporting the 2nd Amendment; and a heavily practiced marksman, and a member of the Single Action Shooting Society (SASS).
A memorial gathering will be held at the horse pasture at a later date.
