James Edward Sullivan, 76, passed away peacefully at home May 9,2018. Born in Cleveland, OH. He was the son of the late Edward Francis and Catherine Ross Sullivan.

Jim graduated from Archbishop Hoban HS, Akron, OH, St. Mary's University, Emmitsburg, MD, and the University of Akron with a MBA Degree. He began his career in 1964 with the BF Goodrich Tire Co in Akron, retiring from Micheline North America in 2002. Jim was Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Baum Council 13112. He was also an active member and past President of the Ancient Order of Hibernians Harp and Shamrock Division 1, and volunteered with Homeworks of America in Greenville. He was an avid wood carver, member of the Piedmont Wood Carvers Club and enjoyed his weekly carving and lunch group.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years Mary Ellen Sibila Sullivan, daughters; Mary Catherine Sullivan, Margaret Martin, Patricia Sullivan (Shelayne Clemmer), Laura Sullivan, Maureen Hinson (Gregory); six grandchildren, Andrew Steinhaus, Patrick, Abigail, and Brendan Martin, Gordon and Henry Hinson; brother Thomas J. Sullivan.

Our family would like to thank the staff of Open Arms Hospice, especially Jim's nurse, Cindy, and Social Worker, Julie, for their kindness and loving care during his illness.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 22,2018 at the Poor Clare Monastery at 10:00 am. Interment will be at the Monastery.
