Karen Sue McElyea Dalton went peacefully to be with the Lord Monday, May 21, 2018. She is survived by her parents, Robert (Bob) and Billie McElyea, care giver;Larry Dalton, daughters Kayleigh Meeks and Lauren Dalton, son Noah Dalton, as well as siblings Joy (Lamar) Hill, Rob (Karen) McElyea, and Dana (Michael) Hammontree.
Karen was a grateful believer in Jesus Christ who dedicated her life to ministering to others through leading a Celebrate Recovery group as well as singing in church services and sharing her testimony with countless people who needed to hear the hope the Lord gave her.
A Celebration of Life service for Karen will be held June 9, 2018, 11 a.m. at Pelzer Church of God.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Serenity Place, a ministry very dear to Karen. Checks should be made out to The Family Effect, with a memo specifying the donation is for Serenity Place. Donations may be mailed to 1400 Cleveland Street Greenville, South Carolina 29607.
