Mr. Larry Lee Widenhouse Sr.

Larry Lee Widenhouse Sr., 82, passed away peacefully at home Friday January 12, 2018 after a brief illness with his family by his side. Mr. Widenhouse leaves behind his wife Gail Balliew Vaughn Widenhouse, son Eric Widenhouse (Diane) and daughters Lisa Rogers, Allison Vaughn Anders (Joey) and Sandie Vaughn Rhinehart (Russ), along with several nieces, a nephew, 8 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. Mr. Widenhouse was a member of Rock Springs Church in Easley, SC and attended Double Springs Baptist Church in Taylors, SC.
Mr. Widenhouse was predeceased by his first wife of 54 years, Brenda Kerley Widenhouse; mother Thelma Higgens Widenhouse; father Arthur Lee Widenhouse; son Larry Lee Widenhouse Jr., and brother Michael Widenhouse.
Mr. Widenhouse served in the Army with a period of active duty 12/6/54 thru 9/12/56 as a specialist 3rd class radio operator. He received an honorable discharge.
Mr. Widenhouse was retired from Curtron Mfg. as Human Resource Manager but his greatest achievement will forever be his family. He has left many wonderful memories but will always be known for his class, sense of style and dress, and his beautiful singing voice.
A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at Double Springs Baptist Church at
3800 Locust Hill Rd., Taylors, SC on Thursday January 18th at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Miracle Hill.
