Phillip Laverne McDermott
September 29, 1947 — February 23, 2017
Phillip Laverne McDermott, 69 of Anderson, passed away peacefully on February 23, 2017 at Rainey Hospice House of the Upstate. Phil was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was a retiree of Duke Energy. He is survived by wife Beverly Adams McDermott; sons Ben (Kristi), Josh (Erin), Jamey; grandchildren Chase, Katy Grace, Saylor, Karson, Kade; brothers Jim (Cecelia), Thomas McDermott of Florida; In-Laws Mike (Sandra) Simmons, Randall (Martha) Adams and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Sunday February 26, 2017 from 2:30-3:45 with a memorial to follow at 4:00 pm at Boulevard Baptist Church, 700 Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Rainey Hospice House of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Road, Anderson, SC 29621. Following the memorial, the family will be at the home of Mike and Sandra Simmons, 116 Langwell Drive, Anderson, SC.
