Sammy Keith Harris 64, passed away at his home after a brief illness on October 17, 2017. Born to John Samuel and Callie Pittman Harris on March 26, 1953 in Greenville, SC. He lived most of his life in the Travelers Rest area.
He was a member of Cross Plains Baptist Church.
He was predeceased by this father, his brother, John (Johnny) Samuel Harris Jr., his grandparents, Jim & Kate Harris, Wade and Pearl Pittman and a niece, Ansley Lynn Barnes. His mother is a Hospice patient at Brookdale Greenville and in frail health. Under the advice of her Doctor the family is asking that she not be told of her son’s death.
Keith is survived by his son Sammy (Teresa) Harris and a daughter, Miranda (Warren) Chastain. He was the grandfather of seven and great grandfather of one.
He is survived also by his sister, Krystal (Greg) Barnes and a brother, Gary (Louise) Harris and their families.
The family has asked that you please join them for cake and coffee Sunday, October 29th in the Family Life Center of Clearview Baptist Church. 5611 State Park Road, Travelers Rest from 2-3:30 for a celebration of his life.
