Allan Harry Hanson

Allan Harry Hanson (77), of Greer, SC, passed away on Monday April 16,
2018 after a battle with cancer. Allan was born on June 14, 1940 in Madison,
WI. In 1960 he married Linda Havey, and together they had 2 sons. Linda
passed away in 1993. Allan married Pamela MacDonald in 1995. Upon high
school graduation, Allan joined the Air Force and then became a Machinist for
the UW until he retired in 1996. Allan enjoyed spending time with family,
always willing to lend a hand, placing others before himself. He will be greatly
missed. Allan is survived by his wife Pamela, his sons Steve (Sandy), Scott
(Patti), stepdaughter Megan Smith (Doug), stepson Jeff MacDonald,
grandchildren Jake (Rhianna), Katie (Ryan), Rylee, Casey (Kelsey), and Finn.
He was preceded in death by wife Linda and his brother Roger. A Requiem
Eucharist will be held at St. Peters Episcopal Church (Greenville, SC) on
Saturday April 21 st at 2pm. A graveside service will be held in Madison, WI at
Roselawn cemetery on Saturday June 16, 2018 at 1pm. Memorial donations
may be made in Allan’s name to the American Cancer Society or St. Peter’s
Family Endowment.
