Allen "Hot Rod" Timmerman

Allen “Hot Rod” Timmerman, 93, of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday, March 16, 2022. A native of Edgefield, SC, he was one of 15 children of the late George Benjamin and Nanni Bell Corley Timmerman. After serving in the Army during Korea, he moved to Greenville and worked for Piedmont Plush Mills and Wunda Weave Carpet. He was a member of Woodside Church of God.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 9 brothers and 5 sisters.
He is survived by his wife, Evvie Lee Banister Timmerman and numerous nieces and nephews.
A Funeral Service will be held at 1:00pm on Tuesday, March 22 at Woodside Church of God, 1410 W. Parker Road, Greenville with entombment with military honors to follow at Greenville Memorial Gardens at 3:00pm. The family will receive friends at the church on Tuesday from 11:45am-12:45pm.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Woodside Church of God or the Red Cross.
