Audrey I Musick

April 15, 1929 — July 20, 2022

Audrey I. Musick, 93, of Travelers Rest, SC, passed away on July 20, 2022, at Richard M. Campbell Veterans Nursing Home in Anderson, SC.
Audrey was born on April 15, 1929, in Sutton, KY, to the late Paris and Lena T. Musick. Following a childhood surrounded by many brothers and sisters, she joined the United States Women's Army Corps (WAC) and served in the medical corps from 1950 to 1955. After leaving the military, she settled in Niagara Falls, NY to raise her only child. Following her retirement as a branch banking officer from HSBC Bank in Niagara Falls, NY in 1990, she fully embraced the newly found freedom, finding time to travel and volunteer.
Audrey will be remembered for her loving devotion to family. As a single mother, she shared a multi-generational home with her mother, sisters, daughter, and nieces. Upon the passing of their mother, she became the guardian of her younger sister, Juanita "Sis", who had Down Syndrome. She was a dedicated grandmother to her only grandchild, offering unwavering support in every endeavor from childhood to adulthood. The greatest joy in her twilight years was found in spending time with her beloved geat-grandsons.
Her legacy of love survives on through her daughter, Stephanie (Richard) Rowles of Travelers Rest; granddaughter, Alexis (Spencer) Linn of Fletcher, NC; two great-grandsons, Grant and Houston; one sister, Ynez Beard, of Charleston, SC; and an abundance of cherished nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, great-grandnieces, and great-grandnephews.
We find comfort in knowing she is now in her heavenly home, reunited, with many family members that have gone before her, including her parents and seven siblings (Yvonne Hedges, Victor Musick, Juanita "Sis" Musick, Billie L. Williams, James Musick, Francis Musick, and Dorthy Musick).
The family would like to extend our sincere thanks and appreciation to the staff of Open Arms Hospice and the Richard M. Campbell Home for the care, comfort, and support they offered her and our family months with our precious GiGi.
