Avery Lynn Hightower

Avery Lynn Hightower passed away on September 20th, 2021 peacefully at his home in Piedmont SC with his oldest daughter Andrea at his side. Born on December 14th, 1943 in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Frances Hightower and Julia Parker.

Avery is survived by his three daughters, Andrea, Dena, and Jennifer (Trey); grandchildren, Amber, Faith, Dillon, Brittany, Jessica; and one great grandchild, Logan Avery.

Avery was a lifelong resident of Upstate SC, and was a proud graduate of Wade Hampton High School. Upon graduating from High School, he enlisted in the Air Force where he honorably served for the next four years. He was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the peace and serenity of spending time by the river. Avery loved football, particularly cheering on his Clemson Tigers and Carolina Panthers.

For Avery, nothing was better than a Sunday afternoon spent with family. He loved cooking out for friends, family, and neighbors while watching his beloved Panthers.
