Barbara Watkins Croxton

Barbara Watkins Croxton of Lancaster, S.C. passed away peacefully in the home of her daughter Laura. She is survived by daughter Laura Watkins Biggerstaff, son Ben Watkins and wife Cynthia, and son Buddy Watkins and wife Christine. Her love lives on through her 9 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren.
In addition to being a loving, incredible, positive role model to her children, her passion was to help young adults achieve their educational goals. As former Associate Dean for Admissions and Administration at the University of South Carolina at Lancaster, she touched many lives in the community.
At her request, the family will not hold a visitation or funeral. Her memories are her gifts.
A scholarship fund in her name has been created for USCL so future students can realize their educational dreams. Contributions to the fund can be made to the Barbara Watkins Croxton Scholarship Fund and sent to the Education Foundation of USC Lancaster at PO Box 889, Lancaster, SC 29721.
