Betty Sue Bond

Betty Sue Bond, 83, of Central, SC passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, March 7th 2021. She was born Thursday, October 7th, 1937, in Spartanburg, SC to her parents, the late Walter Reed and Bertie Lee Anglin Donahue.

She will be sadly missed by her family, her daughter, Deanne Bond; her grandchildren,Charlie and Johnnie Yingst, Michael and Nicole Cartee, Tony and Hollie Beddingfield; her sister, Patsy Jowers and her many great grandchildren.

Granny Sue was a proud member of Agape Baptist Church in Piedmont, SC. She was a hard working lady that had a witty and straight forward way about her. She was an avid lover of Our Lord’s creations, nature and the birds that he gave us to see and care for. She would sit in her rocking chair for hours taking in the his wonderous gifts. Blue Birds and Humming Birds were her favorites. Traveling to Cherokee was always a trip she looked forward to with her family. Her sister Patsy saw her as “The Worlds Greatest Sister.”

Along with her parents she was predeceased by, her siblings; Walter Clay, Charles Thomas, Robert Lee, Cherl, Joyce and Ruth; as well as her beloved husband of 49 years, Wilburn “Petey” Hollis Bond.

Visitation will start at 11am on Thursday, March 11th, 2021 with a Funeral Service to follow at 12pm. At Agape Baptist Church.

A Commital Service will be held on Friday, March 12th, 2021 at 1pm at Greenville Memorial Gardens.
