Carol McKeown Dodson, born January 31, 1940 in Gainesville, Florida, married 63 years to Gary K. Dodson, Sr., passed away peacefully on Monday, January 3, 2022 at McCall Hospice House.
Carol was a lover of books, the beach and birds. She enjoyed spending time outdoors and with her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her children, Tim Dodson, Caroline Dodson, Claire Orr, Stacey Dodson and Linda DeSchon, as well as daughters in law Harriet, Dorothy and son in law Jimmy. Carol is survived by a brother, Timothy McKeown and a sister, Rachel Webb, both of Florida. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
Carol was preceded in death by a son, Gary K. (Kirk) Dodson, Sr.
A visitation will be held Friday, January 7, 2022, 3:00pm-4:30pm in the Chapel at Berea First Baptist Church, 529 Farrs Bridge Rd., Greenville, SC, 29611.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to McCall Hospice House, Simpsonville, SC.
