Charles Ray Raxter

Charles Ray Raxter, of the Dacusville community, Born September 27th, 1949 entered into rest on October 22nd, 2019. He is survived by his wife, Angee E. Raxter. A son, Chance R. Raxter. A daughter, Chelsea E Raxter, who cared for him in her home during the final 15 months of his life. He is also survived by his sister, Gail (Jerry) O'Sheilds. Also many nieces and nephews, brother and sister in-laws and many, many friends. He is predeceased by his father, Jethro A. Raxter and beloved mother, Geraldine D. Hendricks Raxter.

During his time on this earth, Charles enjoyed many things. As a young man, Charles broke horses for a living. One of them being his beloved horse, Taco. Who was a wild and free spirit, much like Charles himself. When he got older, Charles became a long distance, over the road truck driver. He worked as a driver for approximately 16 years. He has been all over the states and even into Canada. One of his past times was to reminisce on these days by telling stories of what he saw and experienced. Because of his love of being outside, especially on his Kubota and his Skid Steer, when his time as a truck driver came to a close he started up his own lawn Maintenance business, which most people knew him from. He was a reliable worker who never left his clients disappointed. He worked with a close friend for years until their passing. After this, he welcomed his son onto his work team and worked together for 3 years before Charles became to sick to continue. His son ran this business through the last year of its operation.

Charles Raxter may be gone but he will always be remembered for who he was during his life. A Loving Father, A Caring Husband and a Great Friend.

Interment will be at Nine Forks Baptist Church in Dacusville.
