Daniel Rodriguez, 83, of Simpsonville passed away at home surrounded by his family on October 5, 2019 in Simpsonville, South Carolina.

Danny was born to Luis Rodriguez and Anna Maria Guerrero in Brooklyn, NY on January 3, 1936. Danny served twenty years in the United States Navy. After he retired from the Navy, he then worked for the National Weather Service (NOAA) in Guam for twenty-three years. Danny was a kind, selfless, and compassionate family man who adored being a husband, father, and grandfather. Danny was an avid golfer and wood craftsman.

Danny was preceded in death by his father, mother and two younger brothers. He leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 37 years, Nelly Rodriguez; five children, Denise Baumann (Daniel), David Rodriguez (Sandra), Ricardo Rodriguez (Felomina), Rolando Rodriguez (Dalia), Nelynda Lee (Dong); nine grandchildren, Kenji, Koji, Aja, Ricardo Jr., Santino, Matthew, Isabella, Asher, Colette; two great grandchildren, Kosuke, Zoe; and his brother, Luis Rodriguez. Danny also leaves behind a multitude of family and friends who love him, too many to name.

An intimate service for family and friends will be held on Thursday, October 10 starting at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Funerals in Greenville, South Carolina, 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611.
