Mrs. Debra Jean Howard Brown

Debra H. Brown, 63, of Taylors, went to her eternal home with Jesus Christ on July 22, 2019.

Visitation will be between 2:00 PM and 3:45 PM Sunday, August 4, 2019 at Taylors First Baptist Church, 200 West Main Street, Taylors, SC, followed immediately by a Memorial Service beginning at 4:00 PM, also at Taylors First Baptist Church with Dr. Jimmy Harley and Jerry Long of TFBC, officiating. Kevin Batson and Lindsay O’Rear will conduct the music. Arrangements are handled by the Crematory Society of SC.

Debra was born in Greenville to the late Hubert “Red” Howard and Frances Pirkle Reeves on November 8, 1955. She went to Wade Hampton High School in Greenville, SC. She married Robert A. Brown on June 16, 1977 in Dacusville, SC. The couple have two sons, Shane (Dee) and Robb (Jenny) and three granddaughters, Jennifer (27) of Charleston, SC, Leslie (16) of Pendleton, SC, and Maggie (9) of Columbia, SC.

Debra was the credit manager for Jeff Lynch Appliance and TV Center for twelve years. She was a member of Taylors First Baptist Church where she has attended 34 years and was involved in Women’s Missionary Union and the Children’s Music Ministry. Debra was a member of the Fitzgerald – Greer Life Group and was loved by her fellow members.

Debra is preceded in death by Hubert “Red” Howard and Frances Reeves.

The Fitzgerald – Greer Life Group will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Memorials, in lieu of flowers, may be given in honor of Debra to The Greenville Gospel Riders Chapter of the Christian Motorcyclist Association, 500 McCarter Avenue, Greenville, SC 29615, Taylors First Baptist Church, 200 West Main Street, Taylors, SC and Gideons International, 2939 Chesnee Hwy, Spartanburg, SC 29307.
