Dina Black Bruce

Dina Black Bruce, 78, of Greer, SC passed away on the morning of July 14th at her home.
Born in Whitmire, SC she was a daughter of the late Aladdin P. Black & Kate F. Ferguson. Dina was a beloved mother and grandmother whose greatest joy was spending time with her family. She was an avid reader and left an extensive library of books as part of her legacy. She loved old movies and murder mysteries and could win any contest of trivia. She also loved to travel and went to many places over her lifetime. Africa held a special place in her heart. As a lifelong Democrat she was passionate about societal issues and equality.
Dina had many, many pets during her life and as was typical of her tender heart would take in any stray that crossed her path.
Surviving are her daughter, Susanna Bruce Marino and husband Jimmy Marino of Greer and son, Christopher Scott Bruce of Travelers Rest; four grandchildren, Nicholas and Mary-Kate Marino and Abigail and Olivia Bruce. She has a surviving sister Jo League of Easley.
The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 on Thursday, July 18 at Cremation Society of SC on 6010 White Horse Road.
