Donald Q. Combs,67, of Greenville, SC passed away July 17, 2019. He was the son of the late Enos Combs and Otilla Elliot Combs. Survivors include his Wife: Kimberly Combs, Siblings: Thomas Combs (Cumberland Gap, TN) and Sandra Blackburn (Pikeville, KY) Sons: Eric Combs (Great Bend, KS), Colin Combs (Greenville, SC) and Dylan Combs (Greenville, SC) Step Son: John-Mark (Jamie) Herbert (Beebe, AR), Grandchildren: Willow Herbert (Beebe, AR) he was predeceased by one Sister: Gayle Combs Napier.
He Graduated from Dilce Combs Memorial High School, Central Connecticut State University where he obtained his Bachelor of Science Degree and University of Connecticut where he obtained his Mechanical Engineering Degree. He was in the US Navy where he served in the Submarine Service. Donald retired as an automotive Engineer. He attended Fellowship Greenville.
Donald touched many lives. He was a witty good-hearted man who always had a smile on his face. Donald was always very optimistic and he will be missed greatly. He always made you wonder what he was up to with that mischievous grin. He loved to travel, loved the ocean and he never met a stranger. He knew someone everywhere he went. He was such a people person who was full of life and laughter.
A memorial service will be held Saturday – July 20th, 2019 from 2:00-3:00 pm at Fellowship Greenville, 3161 S Hwy 14, Greenville, SC. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 12:30-2:00 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to:
