Mrs. Dorothy Moore Kauf

Dorothy Moore Kaufman, 93, passed away Sunday, July 22, 2018. Born October 10, 1924 in Kentucky, the daughter of the late Robert S. and Lena B. Moore of Anderson, SC. She graduated from Simon Kenton HS, Independence, KY and Georgetown College in Georgetown, KY. Dorothy was involved in church work with her husband in youth ministries throughout AL, KY, TN, NC, CT, MD, and NY. While living in CT, she was a kindergarten teacher for several years.

She is predeceased by her siblings Elizabeth Adams, Ray Moore, and Wayne Moore. She is survived by her husband of 72 years, Dean Kaufman; Sister, Wilma Moore Hare; Sons, Dale Kaufman/Wendy, Gary Kaufman/Eva, and Norman Kaufman; Grandchildren, Whitney Kaufman, Jackie Haywood/Josh and Ben Haywood.

A funeral service will be held at 11 am on Thursday, July 26th at Augusta Road Baptist Church in Greenville officiated by Rev. Matt King and Rev. Floyd Parker. Visitation will be held at 10 am prior to the service.
