Doyle Rogers Griffin

Mr. Doyle Rogers Griffin, 82, of Anderson has passed on to his heavenly home to join his wife Carolyn, his mother Sybil Griffin Burdette, his father Kirby Dennis Griffin, his "Pop" Willie Burdette, brothers Dennis Larry* and Jimmy and grandson Christopher.

He is survived by a son, Danny Griffin, of Bridge City TX, and two daughters, Donna Griffin of Slabtown and Denise McNeely of Williamston, brother Ronnie, sisters Drusilla, Patsy and Arlene, special grandson Robert Gaines, very special great-granddaughter Jasmine along with numerous other grand and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and four step-children.

Mr. Griffin retired from Milliken and Co. after 49 1/2 years of service. He was an avid bowler, reader, loved to travel, loved music, especially outlaw and old style country, and playing his guitar.

He loved his family and friends and was dearly loved by them as well. His passing will leave a hole in our hearts but we know he is at rest and peace.

The family will announce placement of the ashes and memorial/celebration of life service at a later date.
