Doyle Cebelle Thompson, of Greenville, S.C., passed from this life, Aug. 23, 2019. She was born in Woodruff, S.C., on Jan. 26, 1930, to Charlotte Bagwell Poole, and James Hampton Poole.
Cebelle was a graduate of Parker High School, attended two years at Furman University, and completed Barbazon School of Modeling in New York. She was a Charter member of Mitchell Road Presbyterian Church, and a devoted choir member and soloist.
She was predeceased by her twin sons, James Larry and Wesley Barry Thompson, her son Robert Randall Thompson, and her husband Robert Fred Thompson.
Cebelle is survived by her daughter, Kelly Thompson Head. She was blessed with four grandchildren, Charles Manly Head, Emily Lauren Head, Charlton Taylor Head, Grayson Randolph Head, and twin great granddaughters, Millie and Charley.
Surviving also are her extended international children, Dr. Levent Doganci (Turkey), Dr. Ana Carral Donminquez (Spain), and Antti Aukia (Finland), who had the opportunity to know and love her as, Mom.
A memorial service will be held 2:00 pm September 3, 2019 in the Chapel of Westville Funeral Home.
