On June 4th, 1957 Edward Evett was born. Brought into this world by his parents; the late Julia and William Evett. Edward grew up in City View with four brothers and three sisters. Family meant everything to him. He love to talk to his siblings every chance he got. Growing up Edward went to and graduated from Parker High School. Soon after is when he met Cindy Scott. The two fell in love and got married. After about a year of marriage they had a son.
Edward worked for Steel Heddle for many years, and if you knew Ed, you knew he was a worker. Edward was not the lazy type, he always had a job and usually with the same company for many years. When he didn’t work, he spent time outside shooting basketball with the neighborhood kids. He loved kids and always made any kid feel comfortable. Edward and Cindy decided to separate in the late 80s. He liked to bowl and go hunting in his spare time with his father in law.
Soon after Edward moved to Clinton, SC , he ended up falling in love with the area. While living there he met Todd Frazier, the two became the best of friends. Edward and Todd had a garden, and Daddy always talked about their garden and all they were growing. Edward was always a loving and caring type of person. He would give you the shirt of his back if asked. If in anyway you needed his help, no matter what, he would give it to you. Edward’s ways of loving and caring had no bounds. He is loved and will be missed by so many people. He is home with his Mother, Father, Sister and his true love on this earth, Cindy! Edward loved Cindy until the day he died.
As we look back, I believe he lived a good life, to it’s fullest with very few regrets. He will be missed but not forgotten.
Thanks
Shawn Evett
