Eileen Mary (Day) Fallavollita, 72, of 350 Fairforest Way, Greenville, South Carolina passed away in her home on December 19, 2019.

She leaves her son, Paul Fallavollita of Greenville, South Carolina; her mother, Mary June (Cochrane) Day; her brother, William O. Day, Jr. and wife Nancy; niece Maryellen Day; nephew Michael E. Day; and grandnephew Christopher M. Day, each of New Hampshire.

She is predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Carl Fallavollita, and her father, William O. Day, Sr.

Eileen was born on April 14, 1947 in Clinton, Massachusetts.

She graduated in 1965 from Wachusett Regional High School in Holden, Massachusetts and worked in the collections area of the advertising department at the Worcester Telegram and Gazette newspaper in Worcester, Massachusetts.

Eileen was married to Carl Fallavollita on November 1, 1970 and was a traditional housewife for many years. In the late 1980s, she worked for a time in the warehouse of the Fair Department Store in Worcester, Massachusetts.

She and her husband sold their home and left their native Massachusetts in 2001, driving south in pursuit of a warmer climate and adventure, ultimately settling in Greenville, South Carolina.

Eileen's interests and hobbies included reading mystery novels, following current events and politics, viewing black-and-white films, and watching television shows about the paranormal. She enjoyed walking, visiting the ocean, collecting pinecones for crafts, and shopping at Hobby Lobby. Eileen always looked forward to attending Artisphere each year in Greenville, as well as sampling the food at the annual Greek Festival. Her enthusiasm and conversations will be dearly missed.

The Cremation Society of South Carolina - Westville Funerals of Greenville is assisting with arrangements. There are no calling hours or services.
