Emily Marie Piat

November 14, 1929 — December 2, 2017

Emily Marie Piat, age 88 of Greenville, SC passed peacefully into the Lords hands on Sunday, December 3, 2017 surrounded by family members. Born to the late Esperanza and Frederic “Freddy” Ranalli in 1929, Emily grew up in New York City with her sister Gloria Fernandes of Aurora, CO.

Emily, born and raised in New York City moved to Huntington, NY to raise a family and pursue a career in banking. Later she transferred to Florida where she continued in banking. Emily married Bill Piat and enjoyed seasons with Bill in Florida and Colorado. Bill predecease Emily and she spent the last 7 years of her life in Greenville, SC. Emily was an avid dancer and passionate about her involvement with The Huntington Community First Aid Squad while living on Long Island.

Emily is survived by her 5 loving children, Paul and wife Nancy Mazzola of Commack, NY, Doug and wife Natalie of Pembrook Pines, FL, Greg and wife Kim of Huntington Manor, NY, Jeff and wife Laura of Greenville, SC and Stacy and husband George of Wyckoff, NJ. Her 10 beautiful grandchildren, Melanie, Michelle, Kristen, Gregory, Joseph, Kristina, Annie Hope, Fletcher, Emily, Elizabeth and 3 great grandchildren, Mikey, Paulie and Hailey.

Emily’s Catholic faith kept her involved in many missions The Covenant House

A mass in memory will be held at Saint Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in Greenville, SC and a family memorial will be held in Pompano Beach Florida at the end of January.

Memorial contributions may be made in Emily’s honor to the Marcie Mazzola Foundation, 158 Burr Road, Commack, NY 11725.
