Fred Ronald Lanning

Fred Ronald Lanning, Sr., 74, of Greenville, passed away on September 12, 2021. Born in Greenville he was the son of the late Fred Lanning and Bertha May Finley. Survivors include his wife of the home Sharon Lanning, his children: Ronald (Georgia) Lanning, Connie Owen, and her fiance - David Sloan, Adam (Jennifer) Lanning, and Lisa Purvines,Grandchildren:
Shay (Daniel) Arledge, Andrea (David) Christy, Amelia(Fiance Tony Curtis) Hinson, Courtney (Shawn) Gregory,Tyler (Fiance Kristen Dunagan) Hinson,Hayley Lanning,Mitchell(Girlfriend Morgan Duran) Owen, Austin Lanning
Great Grandchildren:Malaia Hinson,EJ Gregory,Max Gregory,Aly Gregory,
Benjamin Christy,Peyton Arledge,Riley Arledge,Jackson Christy, and Sloane Roof. He is survived by one sister, Janice Payne. He was predeceased by
Nancy Lanning, Doris Wood, Dixie Wood, Norma Jean McCall, Ann Nolan, Wes Lanning, and Linda Long. He is also survived by plenty of special nieces and nephews. He was a member of Wren Memorial Church. He was a long time employee of John Deere Tractor and Bagwell Asphalt.
A celebration of life will be held 2:00PM Friday, September 17, 2021 in the Chapel of Westville Funeral Home. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 1:00-2:00PM.
