Genola Kay Pridmore

January 27, 1962 — October 30, 2020

Genola Kay Pridmore 58, a “Good Christian Lady” of Greenville, SC, left us Friday, October 30th, 2020. She was born Friday, January 27th, 1962 in Gary, Indiana.
Kay’s lovely smile will be sadly missed by her sons, Craig Ledbetter and Zack Pridmore; her mother, Dottie Kay Cloer; her 2 grandchildren; her siblings, Trish Shackelford, Randy Childers, and Melody King (Tommy); her aunt Virginia Long and her uncle Leslie Wayne Hall; her nieces, Tasha and Jovita Duncan; as well as other nieces and nephews, her beloved partner of 7 years, Dannis McKinny and his sons Justin and Colten, and her step sons Chris and Chad Ledbetter.
Kay was a graduate of Wren High School. She worked for over 42 years in the restaurant industry, mostly in management positions. She was also co-owner of “Kay and Sandy’s House Cleaning “ with her friend and business partner, Sandy Propes. Kay was a people person, at home in the kitchen cooking and baking for her family gatherings especially the holidays (Christmas being her favorite). Visiting the Cherokee Nation, spending time on the beach and going to country music concerts were just some of her favorite things. But above all she loved her family dearly.
Kay was predeceased by Dean Ledbetter and Gerald Pridmore, her grandmother, Helen Tobey Hall and her aunt Peggy Hall.
