George L. Amick, Jr., 71, passed away peacefully on February 8, 2021. He was born in Greenville, SC on January 29, 1950. He was the beloved son of the late George L. Amick, Sr. and Jean M. Gray Amick.
He leaves behind his wife Pamela Toney Amick, married on July 3, 2004 and together 16 years. His sisters: Virginia "Ginny" Allison (Steve) and Diane Amick. Daughters: J. Staci Amick Daniels and Elisa "Sissy" Ballew. Sons: William "Artie" Ballew (Danielle) and Danny "DJ" Ballew. Nieces: Kelli Allison and Kristen Allison Carlton. Grandchildren: Zachary Ballew, Logan Ballew, Adin Ballew, Nikki Ballew and Charlie Ballew. Brothers-in-law: Matt Toney (Melinda) and Mark Holland (Lynn).
He graduated from Wade Hamptom High School and served some time in the United States Airforce. He worked for Bellsouth and retired with them after 31 years. He loved spending time with family and being involved with his grandkids. He also enjoyed collecting knives and anything with wolves and eagles.
