George Wayne Patrick

November 28, 1943 — September 24, 2020

On Thursday, September 24, 2020, George Wayne Patrick, 76, went to God's loving arms.
Born in Gadsden, AL, to George Washington Patrick (Summerville, SC) and Gussie Deen Clark. He grew up in Charleston, SC, where he graduated from Chicora High School and Palmer College. Working as an automotive service manager, he then became a multi-line insurance adjuster. He retired from Canal Insurance Company as a Senior Claims Supervisor after 13 years of service. He was a member of the NTHCC. George was a Mason for over 40 years, most recently a member of the Cooper Lodge 282 of Travelers Rest, SC.
George loved his family and leaves behind his wife of 42 years, Helen B. Lynch, son George "Scott" Patrick, wife Heather Wyatt, grandchildren - Hannah Wyatt, Kailey Swarthout and Jude K. Patrick. He also leaves behind aunts, uncle, cousins - including Jay C. Farabee (Brenda), nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, including the "A-Team" and Elise and Tommy Pennington, and Seeley -his 4-legged buddy.
George loved radio control boats, planes and cars. He was awarded the highest local honor of BSA, the District Award of Merit in Florida. He loved playing golf, the banjo, taking road trips through the USA. After retiring, he, Helen and Seeley loved to go camping in the mountains.
A service will be held in the future after Covid settles down.
