George John Wanner II

George John Wanner, II, 79, of Taylors, passed away on Friday, December 3, 2021. He was born in Philadelphia County, PA to the late George John Wanner and Anna Georgia Benson Wanner. John was very community-minded and volunteered with several charities including, Meals on Wheels, Make-A-Wish, Loaves and Fishes, and First Tee, which also incorporated his love of golf with giving back.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife, Debbie Wanner.
His family expresses heartfelt thanks to all the support shown to them, especially from The Benefit Resource Center.
He is survived by his wife, Laurel M. Wanner; son, John Wanner; daughter, Alita Wanner; sister, Lynn (Daryl) Meeks; dog, Kenzie and cat, Luci.
A Memorial Service will be held at 11:00am on Saturday, December 18th at Unity of Greenville. The service will also be live-streamed via the church’s website www.unitychurchofgreenville.org
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to one of the charities that he volunteered with or to the charity of your choice.
