Glyn Frederick "Rick" Ashley, Jr.

Glyn Frederick “Rick” Ashley, Jr., 69, husband of Margaret Brown Ashley, passed from this life Monday, January 11, 2021 at St. Francis Hospital Downtown. Rick was born in Greenville a son of the late Glyn Frederick Ashley, Sr. and the late Blanche Lenora Hammond Ashley. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy, a Mason and a member of Taylors First Baptist Church. Survivors include his wife Margaret of the home, a son Glyn Ashley and his wife Melissa, two grandsons; Ian and Grayson Ashley, siblings; Bill Ashley, LouAnn Ashley Wilson and Patricia Clark, step children; Jim Rains, Jack Rains, Jean Surber and her husband Jim, step grandchildren; Ashley Quinn and her husband Brandon, Elizabeth Sammons, Christopher Rains, step great grandchildren; Autumn Ussery, Beau Quinn, Jordan Quinn. A memorial service will be held 3 PM Friday, January 15, 2021 at Taylors First Baptist Church officiated by Dr. Jimmie Harley. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (ipffoundation.org)
