Helen Ann Merrill Moody

Helen Ann Merrill Moody, 87, of Greenville, passed away peacefully Tuesday, March 9, 2021, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, surrounded by her family.
Born in Greenville, she was the daughter of the late George Hardy and Gertrude Christopher Merrill. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who enjoyed cooking, crocheting, making Christmas candy, and bird watching. Helen retired from Celanese and was a faithful member of Cedar Rock Baptist Church in Easley.
Surviving is her twin sons, Steve Moody (Rene) and Mike Moody (Debbie) of Greenville; grandchildren, Kevin Moody (Stephanie Lyerly) of Charleston, Shannon Sanchez (Alex) of Greenville, Chris Moody (Katie) of Simpsonville, and Jeff Moody of Charleston; great-grandchildren Syndel Moody, twins Chelsea and Parker Lyerly, Violet and Delilah Sanchez, and Maeve Moody; sister, Jean Hamilton.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a granddaughter, Stephanie Moody; brothers, Lonnie Merrill, Frank Merrill, Bill Merrill, and Bobby Merrill; and sister, Sarah Kennedy.
The family would like to thank the caregivers (Renee and Tracy) from Regency Hospice for their kindness and care of our mom.
Funeral services will be held Monday, March 22, 2021, at 11:00 am, in the Chapel of Cremation Society of SC - Westville Funerals 6010 White Horse Rd, Greenville, SC 29611, conducted by Rev. Wayne Garmon.
Private interment will follow the service.
The family is at their respective homes.
