Iris Elaine Coats Towns, 63, of Greenwood, passed away on Friday, December 24, 2021. She was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to Howard Ellis Coats, Sr. and Martha Tolbert Coats.
She was preceded in death by her father, Howard Ellis Coats, Sr.; son-in-law, Demetric Cowan, Sr.; grandson, Devon Curry, and great granddaughter, Kataleyn Childs.
She is survived by her daughter, LaKrystal (Brytavius) Coats; sons, Sherman (Kizzy) Coats and Andre Coats; siblings, Dr. AudreyAnn (Leonard) Moses, Lyndia (Robert) Belcher, Howard Coats, Jr., Garrett (DeLaurentis) Coats, Wilma Jean (Marcus) Coats, and Marcus Tolbert; grandchildren, DeQuiashia Cowan, Killijah Jones, Demetric Cowan, Jr., and LaDreavis Cowan; companion, Danny Curry, and many other beloved family members.
A Memorial Service will be held at 4:30PM on Thursday, December 30th at Faith Christian Center with the Apostle Alvin Deal officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Self Regional Healthcare Cancer Center.
