James "Jimbo" Woodrow Doares, Jr.

James Woodrow Doares, Jr. “Jimbo” age 78, of Greenwood, passed away on September 7, 2022. Born in Columbia, SC he was the son of James Woodrow Doares, Sr. and Thelma Elizabeth Griffin.
Survivors include his wife of the home, Amy Seel Doares, two daughters, Ashley Doares and Allison Doares-Sykora and her husband, Andy. Other survivors include his six grandchildren, one great-grandchild, and two sisters; Sondra Miles, and Ann Dennis. He was predeceased by one sister, Peggy Manzer.
Jim enjoyed golf and reading and was an original member of The Swingin’ Medallions and part time superstar and sex symbol.
Jim will be laid to rest in Old St. David’s Church Cemetary in Cheraw, SC in a private family service.
