James "Jim" Snyder

James L. Snyder “Jim” of Seneca, SC, went home to be with the Lord on January 26, 2021, at the age of 84 in Greenville, SC. Born in Fort Benning, GA, on February 28, 1936, he was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years, Jody, parents Samuel and Louise Snyder, brothers Gordon and
Dan, and sister Dorothy Broom.
He is survived by his daughter Lynn Price (Charles) of Hobe Sound, FL, and son Bill Snyder (Brenda) of Gilbert, SC, four grandchildren, their spouses, and nine great-grandchildren.
Jim was a 1954 graduate of Eau Claire High School in Columbia, SC, and served his country in the US Navy reserves and US Army Reserves for eight years earning an honorable discharge in September of 1960. He attended the University of South Carolina for one and a half years before
marrying and moving to Columbus, GA, where he began his long career in the printing industry as a lithographer.
At the age of 76, he gave his life to the Lord and was baptized at Monte Vista Baptist Church in Mountain Rest, South Carolina.
A memorial service is planned for March 6, 2021, at 11:00 am at Crescent Hill Memorial Gardens, 2603 Two Notch Road, Columbia, SC 29204.
