Janice Myers Posey (Jan "The Mother"), a life-long resident of Greenville, S.C., passed away Sunday, July 29, 2018.
She was the daughter of the late Carl S. Myers Sr. and Christine Thompson Myers. She was predeceased by step-mother Lillian Skinner Myers, brother Carl S. Myers Jr., nephew Daniel Myers, and daughter Kitty Christine Posey.
Jan is survived by her step-sister Linda Skinner Perry, sister-in-law Jeanne Myers, niece Mary Ruth Myers, foster daughters Tammy Eskew and Pamela Dial, and many others whom she took under her wing (two legged and four legged alike).
She was the Owner/Instructor of Jamarta and A Dancer’s Studio from the early 1960s to the late 1980s, owner/operator of A Class Act Balloons and Grams, and the founder of The Festival of Healing and Spiritual Awareness (her pride and joy).
A Celebration of Life service will be held August 26, 2018 at her business: A Class Act, 127 Cleveland St., Greenville, S.C. 29601. Drop-in starts at 2:00. Service starts at 3:00.
