John Dowdeswell

d. April 21, 2019

John Warren Dowdeswell, 78, of Glenn Springs, South Carolina went “home” on Easter morning, April 21, 2019, surrounded by family.

He was born on Long Island, New York to the late Pete and Nancy Dowdeswell, but grew up in the Converse Heights community of Spartanburg. “JD’ was most proud of his service to his community which included several decades of service to the Glenn-Springs Pauline Fire Department, over a decade of service to the Pacolet Mills Rescue Squad Six, and even time in the National Guard.
