John R. Lester Sr.

John R. Lester, Sr. 72, passed away Thursday, November 11th, 2021, at his home in Greenville, SC.
Born in Little Rock, Arkansas, he was the son of the late Chauncey F. Lester and the late Laura J. Lester (McGowen). He is survived by his wife JoAnne (Fowler) Lester of Greenville, SC; his sister Thelma Le Fleur (Joe) of Arizona; his children John R. Lester Jr., Katherine a Lamprich (Larry), Victoria M. Skinner (Jerry), Jonathan H. Vande Kerkhoff, Angelika M. Ganderton and Nicole S. Belote; his many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews. He was proceeded in death by his siblings: Frederick Lester (Joan) and Harriet (Hammond) Harris.
The family will be receiving friends, Monday, November 15th, 2021. From 7pm-9pm athe the Potter’s House, located at 7770 Augusta Road, Piedmont, SC 29673. In lieu of flowers, we request donations be made to his widow Jo Anne Lester fo unexpected expenses. Cremation services were provided by the Cremation Societty of SC-Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Rd. Greenville, SC 29611.
