John Vincent Varaska

John Vincent Varaska, 62, of Greer, passed away Saturday, June 9, 2018 in Greer. Born in Worcester, Massachusetts on February 15, 1956 to his parents Joseph and Mary (Lacoste) Varaska. He graduated from college with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He worked as a mechanic with Aiken Brothers in Greenville. John enjoyed muscle cars, movies, model cars, and spending time with his wife, Shelby. He loved his pets and working in the yard and around the house.

His parents; his brother, Vincent Varaska; and his sister, Jody Ann Dionis, preceded John in death. Those who will most cherish his memory are his wife, Shelby; his brother-in-law, John Dionis and niece, Ariana, nephews, Christopher and David of Worcester, Massachusetts; his stepdaughters, Susan, Judy, and Diane; and his work family of Aiken Brothers of the Upstate.

A gathering of family and friends will be Thursday, June 14th from 3:00 P.M. until 4:30 P.M. where friends will be able to share their special memories of John in the Chapel of Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Road in Greenville.
