Joseph S. Hood, 90, of Simpsonville, South Carolina passed away November 11, 2020. Born January 12, 1930, in Greenville, South Carolina he was the son of Perry T. and Elizabeth Southerland Hood.
An Ordained Bishop in the Church of God he served as a Pastor and Church Builder having pastored in Pendleton, S.C., Lorain Ohio, Sandusky Ohio, Williston, S.C., Vaucluse, S.C., Kershaw, S.C., Minneapolis, MN., Wren, S.C. and served as State Evangelist in S.C.
Joseph married Nellie Griggs Hood on April 14, 1949, she predeceased him in death.
Survivors include his children: Joseph, Jr. (Theresa), Paul, Thomas (Kathy), and David ( Nikki), eight grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by one daughter, Kathy.
