Mrs. Karen Floy Bursenos

Karen Floy Bursenos, age 77, of Greer, South Carolina, passed away on Sunday, October 21st, 2018 with her family by her side. She has joined her son, Peter Bursenos, and is survived by her husband of 58 years, George Bursenos, sister Kandy Kovacs, brothers Kent and Keith Smith, her son James Bursenos, daughters Angelica Ganczak, Anastasia Bursenos, and Jennifer Hockenberry, and her six loving grandchildren.
Born in Washington DC, Karen grew up in Maryland and raised her 5 children in Herndon, Virginia. She was an eternal giver, caring for her family, the kids in her daycare, neighborhood kids, her friends, and so many others. Her presence on this earth will be missed by the many people whose lives she touched, but her light will shine on in so many ways.
Having lived her life selflessly, Karen requested that in lieu of flowers, donations be made, in her honor, to St. Francis Hospital, where she spent her final days being cared for by kind, compassionate people. Donations can be made at www.stfrancisfoundation.com/donate
