Mrs. Katherine Louise Davenport

Katherine "Louise" Davenport 69, born on May 1, 1949 passed away at St. Francis Downtown on February 20, 2019.
She was the daughter of the late Thomas Eugene Meece Sr. and the late Zela Irene Stevenson. She was the widow of Jeffery Allen Davenport. She is survived by her son Jobie Davenport and wife Jessica of Ninety Six, SC and her daughter Michelle Huckabee and husband Johnny of Laurens, SC. She has 7 grandchildren, Hunter Medlin, Mia Anderson, Will, Taylor, and Gracie Davenport, and Wayne and Katie Tucker. Also surviving is sister and amazing caregiver Dot Dodson of Greenville, SC and brothers and sisters-in-laws Melvin and Evelyn Meece of High Springs, FL, Lamar and Faye Meece of Fountain Inn, SC and Cathy Meece of Hickory Tavern, SC. She also leaves behind many neices and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, husband, and brothers JB, Thomas, Ervin, and George Meece. She was a former bus driver for Laurens District 55 before she became disabled. She enjoyed spending time with her family and most of all her grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on March 9, 2019 at 2 pm and the service will begin at 3 pm at Calvary Baptist Church at 3810 Grandeview Dr. Simpsonville, SC with Pastor Robert Graziana officiating.
