Kathy Ann Pisciotta

April 18, 1955 — May 29, 2021

Kathy Ann Pisciotta, oldest daughter of the late Joseph Diego Pisciotta, Sr. and the late Mary (Guido) Pisciotta, born on April 18, 1955, died on Saturday, May 29, 2021, at the age of 66, after a battle with colon cancer. Born in Syosset, NY, the family migrated to middle-eastern Long Island to the small incorporated village of Nissequogue in St. James. She attended St. Philip and James Catholic School and Holy Cross High School. During those years, Kathy fostered a fond love of animals that she would carry through her whole life while also becoming an avid equestrian and horse lover, taking advantage of the trails that surrounded the family homestead. Married to the late Jerry Alvin Barton, she moved to Colorado Springs, Colorado for several years and started a family, eventually moving back to Port Jefferson Station, NY. Kathy’s journey would take her to Fort Myers, Florida to be near her mother, and then, in her later years, she settled in Anderson, South Carolina. An extraordinarily talented and gifted artist, she created the company called Aunt Bubbies where she was free to use her creative talents and business savviness. Kathy loved and cared for an assortment of animals over the years, ranging from cats and dogs to goats, chickens, geese, and even raccoons, all of which she fondly named. What can be said of Kathy is that she lived her life her way, without apology or regret. She is survived by her children, Jennifer Rose Pisciotta of Pierson, Florida and John Joseph (Rocky) Pisciotta of Vermont, siblings, Donna M. Pisciotta of Ipswich, Massachusetts and Joseph D. Pisciotta, Jr. of Nesconset, New York, and grandchildren Katelyn Karlene Hieatt, McKenzie Elizabeth Gail Hieatt, Joseph Anthony Pisciotta, Sabrina Elizabeth Pisciotta, Michael Anthony Pisciotta, Alexander Rocco Pisciotta, Isobel Rose Pisciotta, great-grandchildren Caleb Ezra Pisciotta, Avery Elizabeth Lastiri, Sable Nicole Labaco, and dear friend Judy Britton and God-daughter Cheyenne Elizabeth Correia-Foster, both of Las Vegas, NV. She is predeceased by her grandson, Caleb Joseph Hieatt. No service is planned at this time but in lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be given in her name to either Izzi’s Pond Animal Rescue and Sanctuary at 2131 Woodruff Road, Suite 2100, #180, Greenville, SC 29607, or the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 East Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
