Kimberly Marianne Ruff

October 16, 1975 — July 27, 2020

Kimberly Marianne Ruff, 44, passed away on Monday, July 27th in Greer, SC. She was born on October 16, 1975 in Salt Lake City, UT. Kim was adopted by Cathy and Chuck Floyd and was raised in Las Vegas, Nevada. She grew up in a large family with 3 brothers and 6 sisters and had many wonderful memories of her childhood. She brought joy and happiness to her family and those around her and was appropriately nicknamed “Sunshine” by her mother. At an early age, she was taught to love and serve all people as a child of our Heavenly Father and carried this trait throughout her life.
Kim was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. At age 19, she left home as a volunteer missionary for eighteen months in the Oklahoma City, Oklahoma mission. Over the years, she would serve in many different church assignments. Kim was blessed to connect later in life with her biological family and enjoyed the love of both her adoptive and biological parents, brothers, and sisters. Kim experienced tragic losses with the untimely passing on her brother, Chuck, and her son but her faith sustained her through these tragic events. Kim leaves behind her husband of nineteen years, Todd Ruff, and daughter, Caroline. As a family they enjoyed spending time together and traveling to see waterfalls and the beautiful scenery in North and South Carolina. Todd and Kim enjoyed finding new recipes, cooking, and sharing with their friends and family. Kim worked hard and built lasting friendships with many of her co-workers. While deeply missed by her family, they move forward with hope and faith in a joyous reunion in the future.
