Klaus Michael Groeger

Klaus Michael Groeger, 91, of Spartanburg, SC passed away on November 14, 2018 in hospice care. He was born June 28,1927 in Oppeln, Germany.
Klaus and his family were transferred to Spartanburg in 1971. He worked as an engineer with Morat/Sulzer for many years.
Klaus is survived by his wife of 52 years; Ingrid and two daughters; Mickey, married to Randy DeBerry and Rikki, married to Lorenzo Garcia.
Klaus and Ingrid have three grandchildren; Alexandra married to Scott Pierson, Natalia and Matthias. They also have two great grandchildren; Ford and Savannah; two nephews; Arne and Eric Freienstein of Germany and Switzerland.
A Celebration of Life will be held at St. John's Lutheran Church, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302 on November 26, 2018 beginning at 4:00 pm.
The family would like to thank everyone for their kind thoughts, visits, and prayers and all those who participated in the good care of Klaus. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John's Lutheran Church, 415 South Pine Street, Spartanburg, SC 29302 in memory of Klaus.
