Larry Arnold Williams, 75, of Greer, South Carolina, passed from this life on Friday, September 6, 2019 at his home. Born on February 22, 1944 in Greenville, South Carolina to his parents, James Ernest Williams and Hazel Marie (Kuykendall) Williams, he was a lifelong resident of the upstate and he worked as an owner, operator and mechanic for the Williams and Sons Auto in Piedmont. He will be remembered by his family for his sense of humor, his ability to tell a good story, he enjoyed fishing and made eating quite the sport. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and working to help others and he enjoyed spending time with his family.
Larry is preceded in death by his parents; his brother, David Williams and his daughter, Sheila Williams Weber. Those who will most cherish his memory are his loving wife of 29 years, Alma J. Williams of Greer, South Carolina; his daughter, Charity Williams Tucker and her husband, Billy of Pelzer, South Carolina; his son, Keith Williams and his companion, Kim Roberts of Piedmont, South Carolina; his step daughter, Angel Fowler and her fiancé, Brad Philbeck of Fountain Inn, South Carolina; his sister, Linda Williams Stone and her husband, Ted of Pelzer, South Carolina;
His grandchildren, Brandon Williams, J. J. Williams, Kelsie Medlin, Landon Tucker, Robin Knight, Dylan Franklin and Cheyenne Franklin; his great grandchildren, Jennifer Williams, Keelan Knight, Adriel Knight, Emilee Carson, Jase Franklin and Kylee Franklin. Larry is also survived by numerous members of his extended family.
Funeral Services to remember and honor Larry’s life will be at 10 :00 A.M. on Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in the Chapel of Westville Funerals, 6010 White Horse Road, Greenville, South Carolina 29611 with Reverend Randy Barnett and Reverend Eddie Crocker, officiating the services. Rite of Committal and Interment will follow services in the Greenville Memorial Gardens in Piedmont, South Carolina. A gathering of Larry’s family and friends will be from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. Tuesday at the funeral home.
