Loretta Ellen Simpson, age 69 of Clinton, SC. passed away in her home surrounded by the love of her family on July 25, 2022.
Loretta was born in Flint, Michigan on July 17, 1953, to Fairy Mae Rusch and Ezra David Rusch. After graduating high school Loretta went on to earn her nursing degree from Wayne State University. Loretta worked as a nurse for 42 years and focused her love and attention on children and adults with special needs. Loretta enjoyed spending time with her family at the beach, traveling, and shopping. Her lifelong love of music, which was passed down from her father, was illustrated by her passion for playing the piano. Loretta was also a proud member of the Church of the Nazarene where she sang in the church choir. Loretta is survived by her son David Scott Simpson and her adopted family, her best friend and sister Donna Rochelle Ramseur, daughter December Nacol Pee and son Isaiah Leon Ramseur. Her grandchildren, who affectionately called her Nana Ret, Alexia Ayala Ramseur and Eric LaShon Pee, Jr.
The gravesite memorial is still pending.
