Margaret G. Byers

My beloved Margaret Graden Byers of Greenville, South Carolina was born July 14, 1944 in Laurens, South Carolina, went home to be with the Lord on August 29, 2020. She was the daughter of the late Houston Graden and the late Margaret Shell Graden and widow of Freddie Earl Byers. She leaves to cherish many fond memories two daughters Kathy (Willie) Williams and Tracy (Donald) Cromer both of Greenville, South Carolina, two sisters in New York, a sister in Greenville, South Carolina, a brother in Greenville, South Carolina a sister in Tennessee, five grandchildren, and many great grandchildren and other relatives and friends.

I’m following the path God has made for me.
I took his hand when I heard his call,
I turned my back and left it all.

If my parting has left a void
Then fill it with remembered joys.
A friendship shared, a laugh, a kiss, oh yes
These things I too will miss.
Be not burdened with times of sorrow.
I wish you the sunshine of tomorrow.
My life’s been full, I savored much.
Don’t lengthen it now with undo grief.
Lift up your heart and peace to thee.
God wanted me now. He has set me free.
