Maria Aracely Cabrera

February 24, 1933 — February 7, 2018

¿o no? He dicho. Caso cerrado. La Misa Funebre va ser el Lunes 12 de Febrero en la Iglesia Santa Maria Magdalena en la 2252 Woodruff Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29681 a las 12:00pm.

This day we celebrate the life of our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, María Aracely Cabrera. Aracely died on February 7 leaving behind a trail of life, joy, love and good feelings. Our mother was a tenacious woman who faced adversity as only those who love life do: without half measures, without fears and head on. Of strong character, our mother possessed a tender heart and that was full of kindness, covered with a breastplate of strength to which no problem, discouragement, sadness or bad time could ever make the slightest fissure. She was a brave woman, because on the occasions when life took her to the deepest abysses, she demonstrated the tenacity necessary to get ahead by leaning on her own strengths, she knew how to get up and move her family forward. Of a deep faith in God, her communication with the Creator was always direct, not based on rites or formalities. Each one of us was entrusted to Divine Providence with a candle and a prayer, each time we went through a difficult situation. She was a woman who knew how to guide her children on the path of good, educated them in the principle of solidarity, of honest work, of support for just and noble causes. An exemplary worker, she knew how to make herself appreciated wherever life placed her to earn a living. Passionate and intense, Aracely loved with all the passion of lovelessness, firmly believed in the importance of human charity, lived intensely and fully. It can be said that our mother, in her own way and in her conditions, was happy. Happiness that she knew how to transmit to her numerous descendants. Generous and detached, she was able to take off her shirt to give warmth to anyone who needed it. Everyone who came to her house had a place at the table. Without asking questions, she made whoever arrived feel like family. A thoughtful and prodigious memory, all of us always had a call, a card, a gift, a show of affection on every birthday, wherever we were. If she had something, she spent it on her grandchildren. Lover of music, she read everything within her reach and had a sensitive heart for poetry. Who does not remember talking about the famous Declamator without a Teacher or being moved by listening to the songs of Juan Gabriel, Raphael, Sandro or María Luisa Landín? We all sat with her more than once to laugh with her Joaquín Pardavé, or to cry with her Pedro Infante ... or not? On the day of her death and before such a full life, her children and relatives can do nothing but celebrate her life. Her departure leaves us sad because we will not see her again, but her legacy of love and generosity at the hands of all will make her presence in all of us, enormous and enormous, the love she knew how to give us. Before a woman like that, her family and friends do not mourn her death, celebrate her life. Aracely, you were unique, nobody like you, incomparable. We love you. I said. Case closed. Funeral Mass will be on Monday, February 12 at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church at 2252 Woodruff Rd., Simpsonville, SC 29681 at 12:00 pm.
