Mary Jane Benzon, 97 years, passed gracefully on February 15, 2022 in Spartanburg, SC. Mary Jane, a native of Jenkintown, PA, was the daughter of William and Eleanor Oehrle, and the widow of William F.R. Benzon. Her survivors include daughters Barbara and Meredith, sons W. Randolph (Sharon) and J. Christian (Jennie); grandchildren Ashley (Gary), Kathy, Natani, Lawson (Allison), Alison (Jason), Andrew, Joshua, Michael, Jeremy, Anna, and multiple great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister Nancy, four nieces, and a nephew. She was predeceased by her husband, her parents, daughter Julia, brother William, and three grandchildren. Mrs. Benzon was a graduate of Chevy Chase Jr. College and Pierce Business school. As well as being a homemaker, Mrs. Benzon was active in church, community organizations, school and town libraries in Pennsylvania and New Jersey before moving with her husband to Spartanburg in 1975. She retired from the Legal Department of Advantica Restaurants group (now Dennys) in 1999. She was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church in Spartanburg. A graveside service will be held at the Neshaminy Warwick Presbyterian cemetery in Pennsylvania.
