Mary Joyce Harris passed away on September 29th, 2021 in Greenville SC. Born on February 3, 1940 in Greenville, SC, she was the daughter of the late Irene Smith.
Mary is survived by her husband of 61 years, Wendell David Harris; two children David (Donna) Harris and Amy (Bobby) Elmore; two siblings, Barbara Bayne and Hazel Martin; six grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
She was a lifelong resident of upstate South Carolina, and a graduate of Parker high school, class of 1959. Mary was an avid reader, and she particularly enjoyed reading her bible and various other religious texts.
A celebration of life will be held on Sunday, October 3rd at 3pm at the Church of God of Prophecy in Greenville SC. Following the service, the family will be receiving friends at the same location.
